Three Pokemon will be featured during this event.

The next Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event will take place on April 16, 2024 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.

During this event, Caterpie, Weedle, and Wurmple will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will receive two times the normal amount of Stardust when catching Pokemon.

Shiny Caterpie is available in Pokemon Go. Shiny Caterpie is yellow, rather than green.

To make the most of this week’s Spotlight Hour event, remember that you can activate an Incense to attract wild Pokemon to your location for a limited time. This will give you more of the featured Pokemon to encounter and more chances to potentially find Shiny ones.

Also remember that you can activate a Star Piece to increase the amount of Stardust you receive when completing in-game actions for a limited time. This Star Piece bonus will stack with the Spotlight Hour bonus, allowing you to earn lots of Stardust for each Pokemon you capture during this event.

Following this week’s Spotlight Hour event, two more of these events are scheduled to take place in April 2024. Here’s the schedule:

  • April 23, 2024 – Trubbish will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will receive two times the normal number of experience points when catching Pokemon.
  • April 30, 2024 – Clefairy will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will receive two times the normal number of Pokemon Candy when catching Pokemon.
