Pokemon Go March 5, 2024 Spotlight Hour: Everything You Need to Know

Monday, March 4th, 2024 3:45 pm

Players can earn extra experience points for a limited time.

The next Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event will take place on March 5, 2024 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.

During this event, Pawmi will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will receive two times the normal number of experience points when evolving Pokemon.

Pawmi is an Electric-type Pokemon from the ninth generation of the Pokemon universe. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Pawmi into Pawmo using 25 Pawmi Candy, and then evolve Pawmo into Pawmot using 100 Pawmi Candy after you’ve walked 25 km with Pawmo as your Buddy Pokemon.

As of this writing, Shiny Pawmi is not available in Pokemon Go.

To make the most of this week’s Spotlight Hour event, remember that you can activate a Lucky Egg to double the number of experience points you receive when completing in-game tasks for a limited time. This Lucky Egg bonus will stack with the Spotlight Hour bonus, allowing you to earn lots of experience points for each Pokemon you evolve during this event.

Following this week’s Spotlight Hour event, three more of these events are scheduled to take place in March 2024. Here’s the schedule:

  • March 12, 2024 – Nidoran♀ will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will receive two times the normal amount of Stardust when catching Pokemon.
  • March 19, 2024 – Vulpix, Poliwag, Snorunt, and Hippopotas will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will receive two times the normal number of experience points when catching Pokemon.
  • March 26, 2024 – Hoppip will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will receive two times the normal number of Pokemon Candy when catching Pokemon.
