Pokemon Go April 2, 2024 Spotlight Hour: Everything You Need to Know

Monday, April 1st, 2024 3:53 pm

Players can collect extra Pokemon Candy for a limited time.

The next Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event will take place on April 3, 2024 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.

During this event, Zubat will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will receive two times the normal number of Pokemon Candy when transferring Pokemon.

Zubat is a Poison- and Flying-type Pokemon from the first generation of the Pokemon universe. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Zubat into Golbat using 25 Zubat Candy, and then evolve Golbat into Crobat using 100 Zubat Candy.

Shiny Zubat is available in Pokemon Go. Shiny Zubat is green, rather than blue.

To make the most of this week’s Spotlight Hour event, remember that you can activate an Incense to attract wild Pokemon to your location for a limited time. This will give you more Zubat to encounter and more chances to potentially find a Shiny one.

Following this week’s Spotlight Hour event, four more of these events are scheduled to take place in April 2024. Here’s the schedule:

  • April 9, 2024 – Croagunk will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will receive two times the normal number of experience points when evolving Pokemon.
  • April 16, 2024 – Caterpie, Weedle, and Wurmple will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will receive two times the normal amount of Stardust when catching Pokemon.
  • April 23, 2024 – Trubbish will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will receive two times the normal number of experience points when catching Pokemon.
  • April 30, 2024 – Clefairy will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will receive two times the normal number of Pokemon Candy when catching Pokemon.
