Pokemon Go October 3, 2023 Spotlight Hour: Everything You Need to Know

Monday, October 2nd, 2023 3:32 pm

Players can receive extra Pokemon Candy for a limited time.

The next Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event will take place on October 3, 2023 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.

During this event, Slowpoke will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will receive two times the normal number of Pokemon Candy when transferring Pokemon.

Slowpoke is a Water- and Psychic-type Pokemon from the first generation of the Pokemon universe. It has two evolution options.

In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Slowpoke into Slowbro using 50 Slowpoke Candy, or evolve Slowpoke into Slowking using 50 Slowpoke Candy and a King’s Rock.

Shiny Slowpoke is available in Pokemon Go. Shiny Slowpoke is a paler pink color than normal Slowpoke.

To make the most of this week’s Spotlight Hour event, remember that you can activate an Incense to attract wild Pokemon to your location for a limited time. This will give you more Slowpoke to encounter and more chances to potentially find a Shiny one.

Following this week’s Spotlight Hour event, four more of these events are scheduled to take place in October 2023. Here’s the schedule:

  • October 10, 2023 – Shroomish will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will receive two times the normal number of experience points when evolving Pokemon.
  • October 17, 2023 – Pumpkaboo will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will receive two times the normal amount of Stardust when catching Pokemon.
  • October 24, 2023 – Phantump will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will receive two times the normal number of experience points when catching Pokemon.
  • October 31, 2023 – Yamask will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will receive two times the normal number of Pokemon Candy when catching Pokemon.
