Players can earn extra experience points for evolving Pokemon.
The next Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event will take place on June 27, 2023 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.
During this event, Doduo will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will receive two times the normal number of experience points when evolving Pokemon.
Doduo is a Normal- and Flying-type Pokemon from the first generation of the Pokemon universe. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Doduo into Dodrio using 50 Doduo Candy.
Shiny Doduo is available in Pokemon Go. Shiny Doduo is green, rather than brown.
To make the most of this week’s Spotlight Hour event, remember you can activate an Incense to attract wild Pokemon to your location for a limited time. This will give you more Doduo to encounter and more chances to potentially find a Shiny one.
Also remember that you can activate a Lucky Egg to double the number of experience points you receive when completing in-game actions for a limited time. This Lucky Egg bonus will stack with the Spotlight Hour bonus, allowing you to earn lots of experience points for every Pokemon you evolve during this event.
