Players can collect bonus Pokemon Candy for a limited time.
The next Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event will take place on July 12, 2022 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.
During this event, Machop will appear more frequently than normal in the wild, and players will receive two times the normal number of Pokemon Candy when catching Pokemon.
Machop is a Fighting-type Pokemon from the first generation of the Pokemon universe. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Machop into Machoke using 25 Machop Candy, and then evolve Machoke into Machamp using 100 Machop Candy. Machoke can also be evolved into Machamp without using Pokemon Candy if the Pokemon has previously been traded.
Shiny Machop is available in Pokemon Go. Shiny Machop is green, rather than gray.
To make the most of this week’s Spotlight Hour event, remember that you can activate an Incense to attract wild Pokemon to your location for a limited time. This will give you more Machop to encounter and more chances to potentially find a Shiny one.
Also remember that you can toss Pinap Berries at Pokemon to double the number of Pokemon Candy you receive when you capture them. This Pinap Berry bonus will stack with the Spotlight Hour bonus, allowing you to earn lots of Pokemon Candy for each pocket monster you capture during this event.
Following this week’s event, two more Spotlight Hour events are scheduled to take place in July 2022. Staryu will be the featured Pokemon during the Spotlight Hour event on July 19, while Meditite will be featured during the Spotlight Hour event on July 26.
