Pokemon Go December 5, 2023 Spotlight Hour: Everything You Need to Know

Monday, December 4th, 2023 3:33 pm

Players can collect extra Pokemon Candy for a limited time.

The next Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event will take place on December 5, 2023 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.

During this event, Feebas will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will receive two times the normal number of Pokemon Candy when catching Pokemon.

Feebas is a Water-type Pokemon from the third generation of the Pokemon universe. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Feebas into Milotic after walking 20 km with Feebas as your Buddy Pokemon.

Shiny Feebas is available in Pokemon Go. Shiny Feebas is purple, rather than tan.

To make the most of this week’s Spotlight Hour event, remember that you can activate an Incense to attract wild Pokemon to your location for a limited time. This will give you more Feebas to encounter and more chances to potentially find a Shiny one.

You can also toss Pinap Berries at Pokemon to double the number of Pokemon Candy you receive when you capture them. This Pinap Berry bonus will stack with the Spotlight Hour bonus, allowing you to receive lots of Pokemon Candy for each Pokemon you capture during this event.

Following this week’s Spotlight Hour event, three more of these events are scheduled to take place in December 2023. Here’s the schedule:

  • December 12, 2023 – Seel will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will receive two times the normal number of Pokemon Candy when transferring Pokemon.
  • December 19, 2023 – Snorunt will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will receive two times the normal number of experience points when evolving Pokemon.
  • December 26, 2023 – Vanillite will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will receive two times the normal amount of Stardust when catching Pokemon.
