Original Story:

The latest update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been released on Nintendo Switch, taking the game to Version 1.11.0.

The July 28 update focused on upcoming seasonal events and seasonal content that will be released in the Nook Shopping catalog, but Nintendo didn’t release much in the way of specific details.

On Twitter, Nintendo encouraged players to download the game’s latest update “to enjoy the upcoming weekly Fireworks shows and new seasonal items.” Beyond that, it didn’t say what specific items the update changed or added.

For the record, after updating the game, we checked the Nook Shopping catalog, and there aren’t any new Seasonal items to grab as of this writing.

You can read the update’s full patch notes on Nintendo’s website.

While many of this year’s in-game events have been repeats of celebrations seen in 2020, on Twitter, Nintendo confirmed that “more free content for #AnimalCrossing: New Horizons is currently in development for later this year.”

Keep checking back with SuperParent, as we’ll bring you more information about all of the game’s limited time events and seasonal updates as they’re revealed.
