Friday, April 17th, 2020 7:30 am

The event brings together influencers and celebrities from the NBA, WWE, and more.

Update (04/17/20): Our list previously included Joe Burrow as a competitor, but this was incorrect. We also listed Ron Killings’ ring name as “The Truth” rather than “R-Truth.” Finally, our list was incomplete. We’ve updated our article with the correct participants.

As part of the worldwide #PlayApartTogether initiative, which was created in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Facebook Gaming and Greenlit Content have announced the #PlayApartTogether tournament, a weekly series that will allow fans to watch professional athletes, celebrities, and influencers compete in games like Fortnite, Valorant, Forza Horizon 4, and FIFA, among others. Greenlit Content is the parent company of SuperParent.

The first tournament series will be livestreamed on Facebook Gaming on April 17 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET. Future tournaments will be streamed on Thursday nights.

At the end of each tournament, the winning competitor will be able to choose a charity that will receive $25,000 to support the fight against COVID-19.

Here are the competitors in the first tournament:

  • JaVale McGee (NBA)
