New content is now available for Splatoon 3 players on Nintendo Switch!

The game’s latest update is called “Fresh Season 2023,” and it will allow players with a Nintendo Switch Online subscription to try out a new game mode and more.

Splatoon 3 was released on Nintendo Switch in September 2022. The kid-friendly shooter allows players to use weapons to shoot and spread paint, rather than traditional bullets.

With the Fresh Season 2023 update, players can test their skills in the Big Run game mode, which will take players to the Inkblot Art Academy stage and allow them to encounter a new King Salmonid known as the Horrorboros.

Players can also participate in the “Eggstra Work” event, which will only be available for a limited time. In a press release, Nintendo described this event:

“Starting with Fresh Season 2023, players can head to Grizzco and sign up for Eggstra Work, a new limited-time competitive event being added to Salmon Run! Team up for this friends-only match and compete across five waves to see who can earn the top score.”

Elsewhere, this update adds a new stage to the game called the Um’ami Ruins. The Manta Maria stage has also been added to the game. This stage was originally seen in Splatoon 2.

Finally, the Fresh Season 2023 update includes changes to Tableturf Battle, as well as new weapons, clothing, and other items for players to check out.

Splatoon 3 is now available on Nintendo Switch for $59.99. The game is rated E10+ for Everyone 10+ by the ESRB. Players will need to have a Nintendo Switch Online membership to play the game online.
