This event will last for only one day!
The Game Awards will be held on December 10, 2020, and to celebrate, Pokemon Go is hosting an in-game event that will encourage trainers to play Pokemon Go as they watch the awards. (The Game Awards is an annual celebration of the best video games from the previous year.)
This Game Awards event in Pokemon Go will run from December 10 at 4 p.m. PT until December 11 at 4 p.m. PT.
During that time, you’ll earn more Stardust than normal when catching Pokemon, and Incense will be more effective at attracting Pokemon to your current location.
In addition, Team Go Rocket Grunts will appear more frequently during this one-day event. This applies to both Team Go Rocket Grunts at PokeStops and to Team Go Rocket Grunts that appear in hot air balloons.
Finally, during The Game Awards event in Pokemon Go, you’ll be able to use a Charged TM to make a Shadow Pokemon forget the move “Frustration.” This typically isn’t allowed, so make sure to take advantage of this bonus if you have any Shadow Pokemon you want to update!
