Pokemon Go September 7 Spotlight Hour: Everything You Need to Know

Monday, September 6th, 2021 7:57 am

Earn bonus Stardust in this limited-time event.

Trainers, the next Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event is scheduled to take place on September 7 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.

During this event, Spoink will appear more frequently than normal in the wild, and you’ll receive two times the normal amount of Stardust when catching Pokemon.

Spoink is a Psychic-type Pokemon from the third generation of the Pokemon universe. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Spoink into Grumpig using 50 Spoink Candy.

Shiny Spoink is available in Pokemon Go.

To make the most of this week’s event, remember that you can activate an Incense to attract Pokemon to your location for a limited time. This will give you more Spoink to encounter and more chances to potentially find a Shiny one.

Plus, you can activate a Star Piece in order to earn even more Stardust for a limited time. This Star Piece bonus will stack with the Spotlight Hour bonus, allowing you to collect lots of Stardust during this event.

Following this week’s Spotlight Hour, there are still three more of these events to look forward to in September 2021. Here’s the breakdown:

  • September 14 – Baltoy
  • September 21 – Skitty
  • September 28 – Alolan Meowth
