Pokemon Go September 29 Spotlight Hour: Everything You Need to Know

Here's your chance to earn lots of bonus Stardust.

Trainers, October is only two days away, but there’s still one more event to look forward to in Pokemon Go in September.

The last Spotlight Hour event for the month will take place on September 29 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.

During this Spotlight Hour, Skitty will appear more frequently than normal in the wild, and you’ll receive twice the normal amount of Stardust when catching Pokemon. This bonus Stardust will apply to every Pokemon you catch during this event, and not just Skitty.

Skitty is a Normal-type Pokemon from Gen III of the Pokemon universe. In Pokemon Go, you evolve Skitty into Delcatty using 50 Skitty Candy.

Even if you already have both of these pocket monsters in your collection in Pokemon Go, there’s still a good reason to play the game during this event: Since you’ll be able to encounter so many Skitty in a short amount of time, your chances of finding a rare Shiny version of this Pokemon will be increased.

As we head into the month of October, there are four Spotlight Hour events to look forward to. Here’s the breakdown:

  • October 6 – World Cap Pikachu
  • October 13 – Original Cap Pikachu
  • October 20 – Shuppet
  • October 27 – Duskull
