Pokemon Go September 21 Spotlight Hour: Everything You Need to Know

Monday, September 20th, 2021 7:29 am

Here's your chance to stock up on Candy!

Get ready, trainers! The next Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event will take place on September 21 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.

During this event, Skitty will appear more frequently than normal in the wild, and you’ll receive two times the normal number of Pokemon Candy when catching Pokemon.

Skitty is a Normal-type Pokemon from the third generation of the Pokemon universe. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Skitty into Delcatty using 50 Skitty Candy.

Shiny Skitty is available in Pokemon Go.

To make the most of this week’s event, remember that you can activate an Incense to attract wild Pokemon to your location for a limited time. This will give you more Skitty to encounter and more chances to potentially find a Shiny one.

Plus, remember that you can toss Pinap Berries at Pokemon to double the number of Pokemon Candy you receive for catching them. This Pinap Berry bonus will stack with the Spotlight Hour bonus, allowing you to earn lots of Pokemon Candy for each pocket monster you catch during this event.

Following this week’s Spotlight Hour, there’s still one more of these events to look forward to in September 2021. On September 28, Alolan Meowth will be the featured Pokemon, and you’ll receive two Pokemon Candy (instead of one) for every pocket monster you transfer for Professor Willow.
