Now's the time to transfer unwanted Pokemon.
Trainers, the next Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event is set to take place on September 15!
On September 15 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time, Tentacool will appear more frequently than normal in the wild, and you’ll receive two times the normal amount of Pokemon Candy when you transfer Pokemon to Professor Willow. This bonus Pokemon Candy will apply to every Pokemon you transfer during this one-hour event, and not just Tentacool.
Tentacool is a Water- and Poison-type Pokemon from the first Generation of the Pokemon universe. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Tentacool into Tentacruel using 50 Tentacool Candy.
Even if you already have both of these Pokemon in your collection, remember that the Shiny version of Tentacool is also available to encounter in Pokemon Go. Since so many Tentacool will appear for one hour on September 15, this will give you an increased chance of finding a Shiny Tentacool if you decide to play during this event.
Also keep in mind that you can make the most of this event by activating an Incense on your account so that wild Pokemon are attracted to your location for a limited time. This will allow you to participate in this event even if you don’t want to leave the house.
Following this week’s Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour, there are still two more of these events to look forward to in September 2020. On September 22, Spearow will be the featured Pokemon, while Skitty will be the star of the Spotlight Hour event on September 29.
