Pokemon Go October 20 Spotlight Hour: Everything You Need to Know

Tuesday, October 20th, 2020 7:31 am

This spooky event features a Ghost-type pocket monster.

While Pokemon Go’s yearly Halloween event doesn’t kick off until October 23, this week’s Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour also has a spooky Halloween theme.

On October 20 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time, Shuppet will appear more frequently than normal in the wild, and you’ll receive two times the normal amount of Pokemon Candy when you transfer Pokemon to Professor Willow.

Shuppet is a Ghost-type Pokemon from Generation III of the Pokemon universe. It has a single evolution. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Shuppet into Banette using 50 Shuppet Candy.

To make the most of this event, remember that you can activate an Incense on your account to attract extra wild Pokemon to your location for a limited time. In addition, keep in mind that Shiny Shuppet is available to encounter in Pokemon Go. While there’s no guarantee you’ll run into one during this week’s Spotlight Hour event, you’ll be able to check lots of Shuppet in a short amount of time, so you will technically have a better chance of finding one.

Following this week’s Spotlight Hour event, there’s only one more of these events to look forward to in October. On October 27, Duskull will be the featured Pokemon.
