Pokemon Go May 26 Spotlight Hour: Everything You Need to Know

Tuesday, May 26th, 2020 7:48 am

This event can help you finish the game's Sinnoh-themed Throwback Challenge tasks.

Trainers, the last Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event for May 2020 takes place Tuesday, May 26.

This event will feature an uncommon Pokemon, and it can also help you complete the “Catch a Steel-Type Pokemon” objective that’s part of the game’s Sinnoh Throwback Challenge Timed Research tasks.

From 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time on May 26, Bronzor will appear more frequently in the wild, and you’ll also earn twice the normal amount of Pokemon Candy when you transfer unwanted Pokemon to the professor.

Bronzor is a Steel- and Psychic-Type Pokemon from Gen IV of the Pokemon universe. It has a single evolution. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Bronzor into Bronzong using 50 Bronzor Candy.

Again, generaly speaking, Bronzor isn’t a very common pocket monster in Pokemon Go, so this is a great opportunity to earn Bronzor Candy if you still need to add Bronzong to your Pokedex.

You can boost your Candy-earning potential even more by tossing a Pinap Berry at a Bronzor before capturing it (this will cause you to earn six Candy for the capture, instead of three), and then making sure to transfer any extra Bronzor that you don’t need to the professor before the event ends. Using these techniques, you should be able to earn the 50 Candy you need to evolve Bronzor really quickly!
