Pokemon Go March 8, 2022 Spotlight Hour: Everything You Need to Know

Monday, March 7th, 2022 6:55 am

This will be a great time to evolve Pokemon!

The next Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event will take place on March 8, 2022 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.

During this event, Exeggcute will appear more frequently than normal in the wild, and players will receive two times the normal number of experience points when evolving Pokemon.

Exeggcute is a Grass- and Psychic-type Pokemon from the first generation of the Pokemon universe. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Exeggcute into Exeggutor using 50 Exeggcute Candy.

To make the most of this week’s event, remember that you can activate an Incense to attract wild Pokemon to your location for a limited time. This will give you more Exeggcute to encounter and more chances to potentially find a Shiny one.

In addition, if you plan on evolving lots of Pokemon during this Spotlight Hour in order to earn bonus experience points, you may want to consider activating a Lucky Egg to earn even more experience points. The Lucky Egg bonus will stack with the Spotlight Hour bonus, allowing you to earn lots of experience points for each pocket monster you evolve during this event.

Following this week’s Spotlight Hour, three more of these events are scheduled to take place in March 2022. Here’s the calendar:

  • March 15 – Growlithe
  • March 22 – Sudowoodo
  • March 29 – Paras
