Pokemon Go March 3 Spotlight Hour: Everything You Need to Know

Tuesday, March 3rd, 2020 7:55 am

The one-hour event is happening later today.

At the end of February, Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, revealed that a Pokemon Spotlight Hour event would be taking place each Tuesday throughout the month of March.

The first event will be held today, March 3, and we’re here with what you need to know.

According to Eurogamer, this week’s event is similar to the event that took place on February 18. That is, rather than focusing on a single Pokemon, this event will simply see more Pokemon spawn for a limited time.

The March 3 Spotlight Hour event will take place from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time. If you want to make the most of this event, head to a place with lots of PokeStops in a small area. In theory, these areas already have lots of Pokemon spawns (when compared to other areas), so this Spotlight Hour event should increase those spawns even more.

Remember, trainers, that the Pokemon Spotlight Hour isn’t the only weekly event that will take place in March. The Mystery Bonus Hour event will also be held every Thursday in March.
