Pokemon Go March 23 Spotlight Hour: Everything You Need to Know

Here's your chance to earn lots of bonus experience points!

It’s almost time for the next Spotlight Hour event to take place in Pokemon Go!

On March 23 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time, Surskit will appear more frequently than normal in the wild, and you’ll receive two times the normal number of experience points when catching Pokemon.

Surskit is a Bug- and Water-type Pokemon from the third generation of the Pokemon universe. It has a single evolution. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Surskit into Masquerain using 50 Surskit Candy.

As of this writing, Shiny Surskit is not available in Pokemon Go.

If you want to make the most of this event, remember to activate a Lucky Egg so that you can earn even more experience points when catching Pokemon for a limited time. That is, a Lucky Egg doubles the number of experience points you earn for in-game actions for 30 minutes, and this bonus will stack with the experience point bonus in this Spotlight Hour event.

Remember that you can also activate an Incense in order to attract more wild Pokemon to your location for a limited time. This will give you more Pokemon to capture and more opportunities to earn those bonus experience points!

Following this week’s Spotlight Hour, there’s still one more of these events to look forward to in March. On March 30, Slugma will be the featured Pokemon, and you’ll receive two times the normal number of Pokemon Candy when catching Pokemon.
