Pokemon Go Lustrous Odyssey Event: Dusk Form Lycanroc and More

The Lustrous Odyssey event is coming soon to Pokemon Go!

The Lustrous Odyssey event will run from January 6, 2024 at 10 a.m. local time until January 10, 2024 at 8 p.m. local time.

Once this event begins, Dusk Form Lycanroc will become available to collect in Pokemon Go. Shiny Dusk Form Lycanroc will also become available to collect.

During the Lustrous Odyssey event, Gastly, Eevee, Spinarak, Sunkern, Teddiursa, Lunatone, Solrock, Yungoos, Fomantis, and Morelull will have the chance to appear more frequently than normal in the wild. Espeon and Umbreon will also have the chance to appear in the wild during this event, though the Pokemon Go website indicated they’ll be rarer than the other Pokemon featured during this event.

On the Pokemon Go website, Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, detailed four in-game bonuses that will be active during this event:

• “Increased frequency of Buddy Pokémon bringing you Souvenirs.”
• “Increased frequency of Buddy Pokémon bringing you presents.”
• “Your buddy will spend more time on the map after being fed Berries or Poffins.”
• “Rockruff hatched from Eggs received as Adventure Sync rewards during Pokémon GO: Timeless Travels may have a chance to evolve into Dusk Form Lycanroc.”

A variety of Pokemon will appear in Raids during this event:

• Tier-1 Raids – Hisuian Growlithe, Rhyhorn, Hisuian Sneasel, and Rockruff
• Tier-3 Raids – Lapras, Aerodactyl, Hisuian Braviary, and Wyrdeer

Players will be able to complete event-themed Field Research tasks during this event to receive encounters with Hisuian Growlithe, Hisuian Sneasel, and Rockruff.

Rockruff will also have the chance to hatch from 2 km and 7 km Eggs that are collected during this event, though receiving Rockruff from one of these Eggs won’t be guaranteed.

Once this event begins, new tasks will become available in the Timeless Travels Special Research storyline.

Finally, during this event, players will have the option to spend $4.99 on a Boost Box on the Pokemon Go Web Store containing two Premium Battle Passes, two Remote Raid Passes, and two Super Incubators. This Boost Box will also be available to purchase in the in-game store in Pokemon Go for 599 PokeCoins.
