Pokemon Go June 30 Spotlight Hour: Everything You Need to Know

Earn lots of Pokemon Candy in this limited time event!

Trainers, it’s almost time for the last Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event in June!

On June 30 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time, Kricketot will appear more often than normal in the wild, and you’ll receive two times the normal amount of Pokemon Candy when you capture Pokemon. This Candy bonus will apply to all Pokemon you capture during this event, and not just Kricketot.

Kricketot is a Bug-type Pokemon from Gen IV of the Pokemon universe. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Kricketot into Kricketune using 50 Kricketot Candy.

If you want to make the most of this Spotlight Hour, remember that you can boost the amount of Pokemon Candy you earn even more by tossing a Pinap Berry at a Pokemon before capturing it. You can also activate an Incense to attract wild Pokemon to your location for 60 minutes so that you can participate in the event without ever leaving the house.

Niantic, Pokemon Go’s developer, hasn’t announced its Spotlight Hour plans for July just yet. Keep checking back with SuperParent, as we’ll let you know if these events will also take place in future weeks.
