Pokemon Go June 14 Spotlight Hour: Everything You Need to Know

Stock up on Pokemon Candy!

Trainers, the third Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event for June 2021 is almost here!

On June 15 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time, Slowpoke will appear more frequently than normal in the wild, and you’ll receive two Pokemon Candy for each Pokemon you transfer to Professor Willow, rather than one.

Slowpoke is a Water- and Psychic-type Pokemon from the first generation of the Pokemon universe. It has two possible evolutions. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Slowpoke into Slowbro using 50 Slowpoke Candy, or evolve Slowpoke into Slowking using 50 Slowpoke Candy and a King’s Rock.

Shiny Slowpoke is available in Pokemon Go. Shiny Slowpoke is a paler pink than regular Slowpoke.

To make the most of this week’s Spotlight Hour event, remember that you can activate an Incense to attract wild Pokemon to your location for a limited time. This will give you more Slowpoke to encounter, and more chances to potentially find a Shiny one.

Plus, if you have room in your Pokemon storage, we recommend holding onto any unwanted pocket monsters you capture between now and this Spotlight Hour event. That way, you can transfer them to Professor Willow during this event to earn the bonus Pokemon Candy.

Following this week’s Spotlight Hour, there are two more of these events scheduled to take place in Pokemon Go in June 2021. On June 22, Swinub will be the featured Pokemon, while Aipom will be the star on June 29.
