Taillow is the star of this week's event!
Trainers, the first Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event in July 2020 is scheduled to take place on July 7 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.
During this week’s event, Taillow will appear more frequently in the wild, and you’ll receive twice the normal amount of Pokemon Candy when transferring Pokemon. That means you’ll receive two Pokemon Candy for each Pokemon you transfer to Professor Willow during this one-hour window, rather than one. This bonus Pokemon Candy will apply to all Pokemon you transfer — not just Taillow.
Taillow is a Normal- and Flying-type Pokemon from Generation III of the Pokemon universe. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Taillow into Swellow using 50 Taillow Candy.
Keep in mind that a Shiny version of Taillow is available to find in Pokemon Go. While there’s no guarantee you’ll come across one as you participate in this week’s event, with more Taillow spawning that normal, your chances of finding one will be increased.
Plus, if you want to make the most of this event, consider activating an Incense to attract more Pokemon to your location for a limited time.
