Pokemon Go January 19 Spotlight Hour: Everything You Need to Know

Catch some mushrooms!

Trainers, it’s Tuesday, which means it’s time for another Spotlight Hour event in Pokemon Go!

On January 19 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time, Shroomish will appear more frequently than normal in the wild, and you’ll receive two times the normal number of Pokemon Candy when catching Pokemon. This Pokemon Candy bonus will apply to every Pokemon you capture during this Spotlight Hour event, and not just Shroomish.

Shroomish is a Grass-type Pokemon from Generation III of the Pokemon universe. It has a single evolution. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Shroomish into Breloom using 50 Shroomish Candy. As of this writing, Shiny Shroomish is not available in Pokemon Go.

To make the most of this event, remember to activate an Incense to attract more wild Pokemon to your location for a limited time. You can also toss Pinap Berries at Pokemon before capturing them to increase the number of Pokemon Candy you receive even more.

Following this week’s Spotlight Hour, there’s still one more Spotlight Hour event to look forward to in January. On January 26, Phanphy will appear more frequently than normal in the wild, and you’ll receive two times the normal number of Pokemon Candy when transferring Pokemon to Professor Willow.

Keep checking back with SuperParent, as we’ll bring you more information about next week’s event soon!
