A one-day event will feature Water- and Dark-type Pokemon.

In April 2020, Pokemon Go held an Incense Day event that focused on many different “types” of Pokemon, such as Water-type and Grass-type Pokemon. Now, another Incense Day event will be held on May 17!

On May 17 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time, Incense will attract two different types of Pokemon: Water-type and Dark-type. The type of Pokemon will switch back and forth between Water and Dark every hour throughout the event. Here’s the breakdown:

  • 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Water-type Pokemon
  • 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.: Dark-type Pokemon
  • 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.: Water-type Pokemon
  • 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.: Dark-type Pokemon
  • 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.: Water-type Pokemon
  • 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Dark-type Pokemon

In a news post, Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, said that Carvanha, a Water- and Dark-type fish Pokemon, will be attracted to Incense throughout the entire event. There will also be the chance to encounter the rare Shiny version of Carvanha.

In addition, Niantic said that during the Dark-type hours, Scraggy will have the chance to be attracted by Incense.

Finally, as part of this event, a one PokeCoin bundle will be available to purchase in the in-game Item Shop that contains three Incense.

If you’re interested in stocking up on Carvanha or Scraggy Candy, make sure to mark your calendars so you don’t miss out on this one-day event!
