Everything you need to know!

Trainers, our wait is finally over — We can now evolve Eevee into Sylveon in Pokemon Go!

Sylveon was added to Pokemon Go on May 25, 2021 as part of the game’s Luminous Legends Y event. Here’s everything you need to know about evolving Eevee into Sylveon in Pokemon Go!

As reported by Leek Duck, you’ll be able to use Pokemon Go’s naming trick to evolve a single Eevee into Sylveon by changing Eevee’s name to “Kira” before you evolve it.

Once you rename Eevee to “Kira,” look at Eevee’s evolve button. If you see Sylveon’s silhouette, you can evolve Eevee into Sylveon! If not, don’t evolve Eevee, since you won’t get Sylveon. You can see Sylveon’s silhouette in our screenshots below.

Aside from this naming trick, there is a more traditional way to evolve Eevee into Sylveon. As Leek Duck reported, you can evolve Eevee into Sylveon by first making Eevee your Buddy Pokemon, and then earning 70 Buddy Hearts with that Eevee.

Players can collect Buddy Hearts by completing a variety of actions with their Buddy Pokemon, such as feeding them berries, playing with them, or taking their picture in the game’s Snapshot mode. Once you earn 70 Buddy Hearts with Eevee as your Buddy, you’ll be able to evolve that Eevee into Sylveon.

Evolving Eevee into Sylveon costs 25 Eevee Candy, even if you’re using the naming trick.

And there you have it! You’re now ready to complete your Eevee evolution collection in Pokemon Go!
