Pokemon Go February 8 Spotlight Hour: Everything You Need to Know

Monday, February 7th, 2022 7:26 am

This event will give you the chance to stock up on Stardust!

Trainers, the next Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event in February 2022 is scheduled to take place on February 8 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.

During this event, Spritzee will appear more frequently than normal in the wild, and players will receive two times the normal amount of Stardust when catching Pokemon.

Spritzee is a Fairy-type Pokemon from the sixth generation of the Pokemon universe. In Pokemon Go, Spritzee has a unique evolutionary requirement. In order to evolve Spritzee into Aromatisse, players must first make Spritzee their Buddy Pokemon and then activate an Incense while Spritzee is their Buddy. After they’ve completed that step, they can evolve Spritzee into Aromatisse using 50 Spritzee Candy.

You can learn more about evolving Spritzee into Aromatisse in our guide.

As of this writing, Shiny Spritzee isn’t available in Pokemon Go.

To make the most of this week’s event, remember that you can activate a Star Piece to earn bonus Stardust for a limited amount of time. This Star Piece bonus will stack with the Spotlight Hour bonus, allowing you to earn lots of Stardust for catching Pokemon during this event.

Following this week’s Spotlight Hour, two more of these events are scheduled to take place in Pokemon Go in February 2022. On February 15, Koffing will be the featured Pokemon, while Voltorb will be the featured Pokemon on February 22.
