Pokemon Go December 28 Spotlight Hour: Everything You Need to Know

Monday, December 27th, 2021 6:00 am

Here's your chance to stock up on Pokemon Candy!

Trainers, the final Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event in 2021 will take place on December 28 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.

During this event, Cubchoo will appear more frequently than normal in the wild, and you’ll receive two times the normal number of Pokemon Candy when catching Pokemon.

Cubchoo is an Ice-type Pokemon from the fifth generation of the Pokemon universe. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Cubchoo into Beartic using 50 Cubchoo Candy.

Shiny Cubchoo is available in Pokemon Go. Shiny Cubchoo is lavender, rather than blue.

To make the most of this week’s Spotlight Hour event, remember that you can activate an Incense to attract wild Pokemon to your location for a limited time. This will give you more Cubchoo to encounter and more chances to potentially find a Shiny one.

Plus, remember that you can toss Pinap Berries at Pokemon to double the number of Pokemon Candy you receive when you catch them. This Pinap Berry bonus will stack with the Spotlight Hour bonus, allowing you to earn lots of Pokemon Candy during this event.
