This in-game event is coming soon!
As spotted by Serebii.net, Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, announced a Dazzling Dream event is coming soon to Pokemon Go!
The Dazzling Dream event will run from January 13, 2024 at 10 a.m. local time until January 16, 2024 at 8 p.m. local time.
Once this event begins, Shiny Cutiefly will become available to collect in Pokemon Go.
During the Dazzling Dream event, Clefairy, Jigglypuff, Marill, Snubbull, Cottonee, Spritzee, Swirlix, Dedenne, Cutiefly, and Morelull will appear more frequently than normal in the wild.
Red Flower Flabébé, Blue Flower Flabébé, and Yellow Flower Flabébé will also appear more frequently than normal in the wild during this event in different parts of the world. Here’s the breakdown:
In addition, Togetic, White Flower Flabébé, and Orange Flower Flabébé will have the chance to appear in the wild during this event, though the Pokemon Go website indicated they’ll be rarer than the other Pokemon being featured during this event. To be clear, White Flower Flabébé and Orange Flower Flabébé will have the chance to appear in all regions around the world during this event.
Two in-game bonuses will be active during this event:
Togepi, Spritzee, Swirlix, and Cutiefly will have the chance to hatch from 7 km Eggs that are collected during this event. The Pokemon Go website said, “Cutiefly hatched from Eggs will have a greater chance of being a Shiny Pokémon than Cutiefly found in the wild.”
Players will be able to complete event-themed Field Research tasks during this event to receive Gardevoir Mega Energy, Altaria Mega Energy, and encounters with Alolan Vulpix, Spritzee, Swirlix, and Cutiefly. Players may also receive encounters with Mawile and Carbink when they complete event-themed Field Research tasks during this event, though the Pokemon Go website indicated these encounters will be rarer than the other Pokemon encounters that will be available.
Once this event begins, players will be able to purchase the Cutiefly Mask avatar item from the in-game shop. This item will remain available to purchase after this event ends.
Players will also be able to complete Collection Challenges during this event to receive experience points, Stardust, and an encounter with Carbink.
Finally, players will have the option to spend $2 to receive Timed Research tasks during this event. If players complete these Timed Research tasks before January 16, 2024 at 8 p.m. local time, they’ll receive two Premium Battle Passes, two Star Pieces, experience points, Stardust, and Pokemon encounters.
