Pokemon Go August 4 Spotlight Hour: Everything You Need to Know

Tuesday, August 4th, 2020 7:22 am

Get ready to stock up on Pokemon Candy!

Trainers, the first Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour in August 2020 is almost here!

On August 4 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time, Horsea will appear more frequently than normal in the wild, and you’ll receive two times the normal amount of Pokemon Candy when you catch Pokemon. This bonus Pokemon Candy will apply to every Pokemon you capture during this event, and not just Horsea.

Horsea is a Water-type Pokemon from the first generation of the Pokemon universe. It has two evolutions. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Horsea into Seadra using 25 Horsea Candy, and then evolve Seadra into Kingdra using 100 Horsea Candy and a Dragon Scale.

If you want to make the most of this week’s event, remember to toss Pinap Berries at Pokemon before you attempt to capture them. That way, you’ll earn even more Pokemon Candy for each one you capture. Plus, you can activate an Incense to attract Pokemon to your current location, which will allow you to participate in this event even if you don’t want to head outside.

Following this week’s event, three more Spotlight Hours will take place in August, featuring Sableye (August 11), Venipede (August 18), and Geodude (August 25).

Keep checking back with SuperParent, as well bring you more details about these upcoming events soon!
