Players can earn bonus experience points for a limited time.
The final Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour event in August 2022 is scheduled to take place on August 30, 2022 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.
During this event, Pidove will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will receive two times the normal number of experience points when evolving Pokemon.
Pidove is a Normal- and Flying-type Pokemon from the fifth generation of the Pokemon universe. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Pidove into Tranquill using 12 Pidove Candy, and then evolve Tranquill into Unfezant using 50 Pidove Candy.
Shiny Pidove is available in Pokemon Go.
To make the most of this week’s Spotlight Hour event, remember that you can activate an Incense to attract wild Pokemon to your location for a limited time. This will give you more Pidove to encounter and more chances to potentially find a Shiny one.
In addition, if you plan on evolving lots of Pokemon during this event, you may want to consider activating a Lucky Egg to double the number of experience points you receive for completing in-game actions for a limited time. This Lucky Egg bonus will stack with the Spotlight Hour bonus, allowing you to earn lots of experience points for each Pokemon you evolve during this event.
