Trainers, it’s almost time for the next Spotlight Hour event in Pokemon Go!
The game’s next Spotlight Hour event will take place on August 24, 2021 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.
During this time, Skwovet will appear more frequently than normal in the wild, and you’ll receive two Pokemon Candy for each pocket monster you transfer to Professor Willow, instead of one.
Skwovet is a Normal-type Pokemon from the eighth generation of the Pokemon universe. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Skwovet into Greedent using 50 Skwovet Candy.
As of this writing, Shiny Skwovet is not available in Pokemon Go.
To make the most of this event, remember that you can activate an Incense during Spotlight Hour to attract wild Pokemon to your location for a limited time. This will give you more Skwovet to encounter and more chances to stock up on Skwovet Candy.
Plus, we recommend holding onto any Pokemon you may not need from now until the Spotlight Hour event begins. That way, you can transfer them to Professor Willow during the event to take advantage of the Pokemon Candy bonus.
Following this week’s Spotlight Hour, there’s still one more of these events to look forward to in August 2021. On August 31, Wooloo will be the featured Pokemon, and players will receive two times the normal number of experience points when evolving Pokemon.
