Pokemon Go April 27 Spotlight Hour: Everything You Need to Know

Monday, April 26th, 2021 7:13 am

Finish the month by earning lots of experience points!

Trainers, Pokemon Go’s final Spotlight Hour event for April 2021 is set to take place on April 27 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.

During this event, Finneon will appear more frequently than normal in the wild, and you’ll receive two times the normal number of experience points when catching Pokemon. This experience point bonus will apply to every Pokemon you capture during the Spotlight Hour event, and not just Finneon.

Finneon is a Water-type Pokemon from the fourth Generation of the Pokemon universe. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Finneon into Lumineon using 50 Finneon Candy.

As of this writing, Shiny Finneon is not available in Pokemon Go.

To make the most of this week’s Spotlight Hour event, you may want to activate a Lucky Egg in order to double the number of experience points you earn with every catch. The Lucky Egg bonus will stack with the Spotlight Hour bonus, allowing you to earn 4x the normal number of experience points when catching Pokemon, rather than 2x.

Also keep in mind that you can activate an Incense to attract wild Pokemon to your location for a limited time. This will give you more Pokemon to encounter and more chances to earn those bonus experience points!
