Pokemon Go April 14 Spotlight Hour: Everything You Need to Know

Tuesday, April 14th, 2020 7:20 am

One Pokemon will appear more frequently for a very limited time.

Trainers, Pokemon Go’s next Pokemon Spotlight Hour event will take place on April 14 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.

Magnemite will appear more frequently than normal during this one-hour event. This Electric- and Steel-type Pokemon can be evolved into Magneton using 25 Magnemite Candy. According to the Pokemon Go Fandom, Magneton can then be evolved into Magnezone using 100 Magnemite Candy when you’re near a PokeStop that has an active Magnetic Lure Module.

In addition to featuring increased appearances by Magnemite, today’s Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour will also include a special bonus: You’ll earn twice the normal amount of Pokemon Candy when you capture a Pokemon. If you want to increase this bonus even more, make sure to toss a Pinap Candy at a Pokemon before capturing it.

Finally, if you need some extra Poke Balls or Berries to make the most of this event, the game’s latest 1 PokeCoin bundle contains 30 Poke Balls, 20 Great Balls, 15 Razz Berries, and 20 Pinap Berries. You can buy the bundle in the in-game shop from now until April 20 at 1 p.m. PT.
