The 2023 Spring into Spring event is coming soon to Pokemon Go!

The 2023 Spring into Spring event will run from April 4, 2023 at 10 a.m. local time until April 10, 2023 at 8 p.m. local time.

Once this event begins, Cutiefly and Ribombee will become available to collect in Pokemon Go. Players will be able to evolve Cutiefly into Ribombee using 50 Cutiefly Candy.

During this event, Pikachu wearing cherry blossoms, Jigglypuff, Eevee wearing cherry blossoms, Marill, Whismur, Buneary wearing a flower crown, Bunnelby, and Cutiefly will appear more frequently than normal in the wild. Chansey wearing a flower crown and Togetic wearing a flower crown will also have the chance to appear in the wild during this event, though the Pokemon Go website indicated they’ll be rarer than the other featured Pokemon.

Pikachu wearing cherry blossoms will be able to evolve into Raichu wearing cherry blossoms, and Eevee wearing cherry blossoms will be able to evolve into costumed versions of its eight evolutions. That is, players will be able to evolve Eevee wearing cherry blossoms into Vaporeon wearing cherry blossoms, Flareon wearing cherry blossoms, and so on.

Three in-game bonuses will be active during the 2023 Spring into Spring event:

  • Players will receive two times the normal number of Pokemon Candy when hatching Pokemon.
  • Eggs will hatch after walking half of the normal required distance if they’re placed into Incubators during this event.
  • Lucky Eggs activated during this event will last for one hour, rather than 30 minutes.

A variety of Pokemon will appear in Raids during this event:

  • Tier-1 Raids – Pikachu wearing cherry blossoms, Jigglypuff, Eevee wearing cherry blossoms, and Cutiefly
  • Tier-3 Raids – Exeggutor, Alolan Exeggutor, Chasney wearing a flower crown, and Togetic wearing a flower crown
  • Tier-5 Raids – Lugia
  • Mega Raids – Mega Lopunny

Next, Eevee wearing cherry blossoms, Pichu wearing cherry blossoms, Togepi wearing a flower crown, Azurill, Happiny wearing a flower crown, Munchlax, Riolu, and Cutiefly will have the chance to hatch from 2 km Eggs that are collected during this event.

Players will be able to complete event-themed Field Research tasks during this event to earn encounters with Pikachu wearing cherry blossoms, Chansey wearing a flower crown, Eevee wearing cherry blossoms, and Togetic wearing a flower crown.

In addition, players will be able to complete the Spring into Spring Collection Challenge during this event to receive experience points, Stardust, and a Lucky Egg.

Finally, once this event begins, players will be able to purchase the Happiny Hoodie avatar item from the in-game store. This item will be available to purchase even after the 2023 Spring into Spring event ends.
