Ditto will have the chance to disguise itself as different Pokemon.

The “Let’s Go” event is coming soon to Pokemon Go.

The Let’s Go event will run from March 21, 2023 at 10 a.m. local time until March 29, 2023 at 8 p.m. local time.

During this event, Diglett, Grimer, Snubbull, Corphish, Starly, Pansage, Pansear, Panpour, Roggenrola, Tympole, and Litleo will appear more frequently than normal in the wild. Trubbish, Galarian Stunfisk, and Goomy will also have the chance to appear in the wild, though the Pokemon Go website indicated they’ll be rarer than the other featured Pokemon.

While Pansage, Pansear, and Panpour normally only appear in certain geographical areas, during this event, all three Pokemon will have the chance to appear all around the world.

During the Let’s Go event, players will have the chance to encounter Shiny Meltan when they use the game’s Mystery Box. Players can receive the Mystery Box by sending a Pokemon from Pokemon Go into Pokemon Home, Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu, or Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee on Nintendo Switch.

Four bonuses will be active in Pokemon Go during this event:

  • There will be a “[r]educed waiting time” related to opening the Mystery Box.
  • Players will receive two times the normal number of Pokemon Candy when transferring Pokemon.
  • Players will have an increased chance of encountering XXS and XXL Meltan.
  • Players will have an increased chance of finding Ditto in disguise as another Pokemon.

Once this event begins, Ditto will have the chance to be Diglett, Grimer, Snubbull, Corphish, Starly, Roggenrola, Tympole, and Litleo.

Two Legendary Pokemon will appear in Raids during this event. Here’s the calendar:

  • Incarnate Forme Thundurus will appear in Raids from March 21, 2023 at 10 a.m. local time until March 28, 2023 at 10 a.m. local time.
  • Lugia will appear in Raids from March 28, 2023 at 10 a.m. local time until April 10, 2023 at 10 a.m. local time.

Two Mega Pokemon will appear in Mega Raids during this event:

  • Mega Venusaur will appear in Mega Raids from March 21, 2023 at 10 a.m. local time until March 28, 2023 at 10 a.m. local time.
  • Mega Alakazam will appear in Mega Raids from March 28, 2023 at 10 a.m. local time until April 10, 2023 at 10 a.m. local time.

Finally, players will have the chance to complete event-themed Field Research tasks during this event to earn encounters with Pansage, Pansear, and Panpour. A Collection Challenge will also be available during this event. If players complete the Collection Challenge before time runs out, they’ll receive 5,000 experience points and an encounter with Meltan.

Elsewhere, a Team Go Rocket Takeover event will take place during the Let’s Go event. The Team Go Rocket Takeover event will run from March 25, 2023 at 10 a.m. local time until March 29, 2023 at 8 p.m. local time.

Once this event begins, players will be able to collect a new Special Research storyline that will allow them to battle Giovanni and encounter Shadow Regice. Players will be able to collect this Special Research until June 1, 2023 at 10 a.m. local time.

According to the Pokemon Go website, during the Team Go Rocket Takeover event, “Team GO Rocket will appear more frequently at PokéStops and in balloons.” In addition, during this event, players will also be able to use a Charged TM to make a Shadow Pokemon forget the move “Frustration.”

Members of Team Go Rocket will begin using different Shadow Pokemon once this event begins. Players will have the chance to see Shadow Alolan Grimer, Shadow Phanpy, Shadow Treecko, Shadow Torchic, and Shadow Drifloon. The Pokemon players rescue from Team Go Rocket Grunts during this event will have the chance to be Shiny.

Larvitar, Absol, Skorupi, Sandile, Scraggy, Pawniard, Vullaby, Deino, Pancham, Skrelp, and Salandit will have the chance to hatch from 12 km Eggs that are collected during this event.

Lastly, players will be able to complete an event-themed Field Research task during this event that will reward them with a Mysterious Component.
