Here's everything you need to know about catching these insects!

It’s July, and that means there are lots of new bugs and fish to capture on islands in the Northern Hemisphere in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

One of the new critters introduced this month is the grasshopper, and we’re here with a guide that will tell you everything you need to know about this one!

The grasshopper will appear on islands in the Northern Hemisphere from July to September. According to All Gamers, it will appear on islands in the Southern Hemisphere from January to March. The grasshopper can be found on the ground at any point between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

At first glance, the grasshopper appears pretty similar to the long locust, so telling them apart may be a bit tricky. However, in our experience, the long locust is much more active, jumping around as soon as you approach, while the grasshopper tends to stand in one spot and make noise until you catch it. You can see the grasshopper in action in our quick gameplay clip below.

A single grasshopper can be sold for 160 Bells at Nook’s Cranny. Or, keep in mind that you can earn a few more Bells if you sell your bugs to Flick when he visits your island.
