Better late than never.

Super Mario Party was released on Nintendo Switch in 2018. The game allows players to travel around a virtual game board and play loads of fun mini-games with Mario and his friends.

Almost three years after the game’s original release, Super Mario Party has been updated with major new features that allow players to enjoy more of the game’s modes online. (The game’s original online mode — Online Mariothon — allows players to play sets of mini-games with players around the world.)

With this update, the game’s regular “board game” mode, the 2-vs-2 Partner Play mode, and the Free Play mode can now be played online with friends and family. The Free Play mode supports 70 of the game’s 80 different mini-games.

On its website, Nintendo shared a list of the 10 mini-games that don’t support online play:

  • Strike It Rich
  • Time to Shine
  • Take a Stab
  • All-Star Swingers
  • Rhythm and Bruise
  • Pep Rally
  • Wiped Out
  • Fiddler on the Hoof
  • Clearing the Table
  • Baton and On

Super Mario Party is available for $59.99 on Switch. The game is rated E for Everyone by the ESRB. In order to play the game online, you’ll need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription.
