Story of Seasons Pioneers of Olive Town: How to Upgrade Your Bag

Upgrades let you carry more items at once!

In Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town, you can hold a limited number of items in your bag at a single time, but you have the option to purchase upgrades to increase this number a couple of times.

At the beginning of the game, you can only hold 16 different items. Your bag includes a separate area for storing your tools (like your hammer and axe), which technically means you can carry 25 items at once, but you’re likely to find this still isn’t enough.

When you’re ready to upgrade your bag to hold more items, head to town and visit the Tool Shop (keep in mind the shop isn’t open on Tuesdays). Speak to Clemens and tell him you’d like to expand your bag. The first bag expansion costs 3,000 gold. It adds a third row of slots to your bag, allowing you to carry 24 items at once (or 33 if you have all of your tools in the tool bag).

If this still isn’t enough space, you can buy one more upgrade for your bag for 15,000 gold. This will give you a fourth row of item slots, allowing you to carry a maximum of 32 items (or 41 if all of your tools are in the tool bag).

It may take you a while to collect the 18,000 gold you need to upgrade your bag to its largest size. That being the case, you may want to check out the ChargePlay Clutch from HyperX. It can extend your device’s battery life so you can play Pioneers of Olive Town (and other Switch games) for a longer period of time before having to charge your Switch. Head over to HyperX’s website to learn more about the ChargePlay Clutch and the company’s other Switch accessories.
