Butter is more valuable than Milk!
There are lots of different livestock animals available to care for in Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town, such as chickens and alpacas. Different animals can produce different resources that you can sell to earn extra money, as well as use in machines to create different objects.
One of these resources is milk, which you can collect from the cows and goats on your farm each day, so long as they’ve been fed the day before. While you can sell milk on its own for a few gold, if you turn the milk into Butter, you can earn much more. (You can also turn milk into Yogurt — check out our guide to learn more!).
In order to turn milk into Butter, you’ll need to unlock the Butter Maker crafting recipe and build a Butter Maker for your farm. You can create a Butter Maker using three Lumber and two Silver Ingots.
From there, you can insert milk into the machine, and it will automatically be converted into Butter of the same quality (for example, a three-star Milk will become a three-star Butter, while a one-star Goat Milk will become two one-star Butters). This process takes two in-game hours to complete.
Remember, you can build more than one Butter Maker for your farm if you want to be able to create more than one Butter at the same time. If you own lots of dairy animals, this is a great way to make extra gold each and every day!
Depending on how you spend your time during each in-game day, it may take you some time to unlock the Butter Maker. That being the case, you may want to check out the ChargePlay Clutch from HyperX. It can extend your device’s battery life so you can play Pioneers of Olive Town (and other Switch games) for a longer period of time before having to charge your Switch. Head over to HyperX’s website to learn more about the ChargePlay Clutch and the company’s other Switch accessories.
