Samba de Amigo: Party Central Hits Switch in August

Two digital versions of the game are now available to pre-order on the Nintendo eShop.

Sega announced the release date for Samba de Amigo: Party Central on Nintendo Switch. The rhythm music game will test players’ skills across 40 tracks from past and present.

Samba de Amigo: Party Central will feature multiple gameplay modes, as well as mini-games and challenges for players to complete. Players will be able to customize the look of their in-game character with a variety of costumes and accessories.

In addition to single-player gameplay, Samba de Amigo: Party Central will support multiplayer gameplay for two people in the same room and up to eight players online. Players will need a Nintendo Switch Online membership to play the game online.

Samba de Amigo: Party Central will feature music from artists such as Ariana Grande and Carly Rae Jepsen, as well as tracks from two Sonic the Hedgehog games (“Escape From the City” from Sonic Adventure 2 and “Fist Bump” from Sonic Forces). Additional songs will be available to purchase in downloadable content (DLC) packs. Players can view some of the songs that will be included in the base version of the game on the game’s website.

Samba de Amigo: Party Central will be released on Switch on August 29, 2023 for $39.99. The physical and digital versions of the game are now available to pre-order.

Players can choose from two digital versions of the game on the Nintendo eShop: the Standard Edition and the Digital Deluxe Edition. The Standard Edition includes the main game and is priced at $39.99, while the Digital Deluxe Edition includes extra content and is priced at $49.99.

Specifically, the Digital Deluxe Edition includes the main game, the Sonic Music DLC pack, the Sega Music DLC Pack, and in-game costumes inspired by Sonic the Hedgehog, Space Channel 5, Super Monkey Ball, and Puyo Puyo.

Samba de Amigo: Party Central is rated E for Everyone by the ESRB with a Content Descriptor for “Mild Lyrics.”
