STEM education company iD Tech is hosting a free event.

With Halloween quickly approaching, the holiday will look different for many families in 2020 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

In an effort to ensure kids still have a fun Halloween this year, STEM education company (and Roblox education partner) iD Tech will host a virtual Halloween Block Party on the Roblox platform. The event kicks off at 1 p.m. PT on October 30, and will run until November 1 at 10 p.m. PT.

During this event, attendees will be able to experience a virtual hayride, explore haunted houses and a corn maze, visit a costume shop, fortune teller, bounce house, and more. The experience will also feature “virtual photo-ops.”

In a press release, Marissa Croniser, a Roblox developer at iD Tech, offered a few additional details about this event:

“We’ve created an awesome experience for kids with festive challenges they’ll never forget. Players can virtually visit our “Trick-or-Treat Street” and collect in-game items in lieu of candy to build their scores, and even be featured on our leaderboard.”

While this Halloween Block Party is free to attend, you will need to register for a ticket on iD Tech’s website in order to join the party on one of the three days (October 30, October 31, or November 1). The event was designed for attendees aged 7-17.

If your family is looking for even more Halloween-themed fun, Roblox itself has curated a variety of spooky or otherwise Halloween-themed games for players to enjoy. You can check out the full collection on Roblox’s website.
