Too cute to eat!

Earlier this year, Oreo and The Pokemon Company teased a collaboration that would bring the adorable pocket monsters to the black and white sandwich cookies.

Now, the Pokemon X Oreo collaboration has officially kicked off.

Limited edition packages of Pokemon-themed Oreo cookies will be available at stores across the country on September 13, but fans can pre-order them on Oreo’s website now.

There are 16 different cookie designs to collect as part of this collaboration. Each cookie features an embossed image of a popular Pokemon, like Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. However, like pocket monsters in the Pokemon video games, some cookie designs will be rarer than others.

To celebrate the release of these cookies, Oreo and The Pokemon Company have created an art installation at the Venice Beach Boardwalk in Los Angeles using 8,000 3D replicas of the Pokemon X Oreo cookies. The art piece measures 8 feet high and 22 feet wide, and has a Pikachu-themed design. Fans can check out the art installation in person between September 7 and October 3, 2021.
