Pokemon Sword and Shield: Take on Gigantamax Machamp, Gengar, and Snorlax in Max Raid Battles

You'll be more likely to encounter these powerful Pokemon for a limited time.

Trainers, if you love collecting Gigantamax Pokemon (raises hand), you’re in for a treat. From now until March 25 at 4:59 p.m. PT, three Gigantamax Pokemon will be featured in Max Raid Battles in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield.

During this time, you’ll be more likely to encounter Gigantamax Machamp and Gigantamax Gengar in Max Raid Battles. Plus, if you missed out on Gigantamax Snorlax when it was featured in Max Raid Battles back in December, it’s making a reappearance during this event as well!

The Gigantamax version of a Pokemon is different from the Dynamax version of the same pocket monster. For instance, Gigantamax Snorlax lays on its back and looks like it has a tree growing out of its belly.

Remember, trainers, even if you don’t see these three Gigantamax Pokemon in Pokemon Dens in your own Wild Area, if you connect your game to the internet, you may be able to join other trainers who are looking for help taking on these Pokemon in their own games.

Thankfully, you have a couple of weeks to track down these powerful pocket monsters, so even if you can’t find them right away, you’ve got some time before they disappear.
