Pokemon Sword and Shield: How to Customize Your Bike

Thursday, June 18th, 2020 7:03 am

You can change the look of your bike in the Isle of Armor expansion.

Trainers, the Isle of Armor expansion has finally launched for Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield! The expansion adds lots of new Pokemon and features to the game, including hidden Diglett and the ability to change the look of your bike.

Previously, we showed you how to change the look of your riding outfit. Now, we’ll show you how to choose a new paint scheme for your bike!

To customize your bike, you’ll need to talk to the Bike Lady on the Isle of Armor. She’s standing near the Dojo in the Fields of Honor area. You can see her exact location in the screenshot below.

You can choose between two colors: Sparkling White and Glistening Black. Highlight the one you want and press “A” to select it.

Your bike will be updated, and your riding outfit will also be changed to match. For instance, if you were wearing a purple and blue outfit originally (you can see it in our screenshots above), you’ll change into either a purple and white outfit or a purple and black outfit, depending on whether you chose Sparkling White or Glistening Black. The pattern on this outfit will also be different from the standard pattern you had before (the one with the circles).

Each bike has a fun animation and trail that appears as you ride around. For the Sparkling White option, stars twinkle around your bike as you ride, while the Glistening Black option has colorful square symbols that appear in the air.

If you want to keep the new look for your bike but change your riding outfit, you can do that by talking to the Bike Lady or any of the Watt Traders in the Wild Area. If you want to learn more about changing your riding outfit color (that is, how to select the color you want), check out our guide.

Finally, if you ever want to turn your bike back to its original design, talk to the Bike Lady. Select “Yes, customize my bike,” and then choose “Original design.” When you do this, your outfit will also revert back to the original pattern (with the circles).

There’s lots of content to explore in the Isle of Armor expansion. You can use a device like the ChargePlay Clutch from HyperX to make sure your Switch has enough battery to last as long as you need.
