Pokemon Sword and Shield: Cavern Pokemon Footprint Locations

Saturday, October 24th, 2020 5:35 pm

Here's where to find 50 footprints belonging to the Cavern Pokemon!

As you make your way through the Crown Tundra area of Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield, you can help Professor Sonia track down three special Pokemon, which Sonia calls the Iron Will Pokemon, the Cavern Pokemon, and the Grassland Pokemon.

In order to locate these pocket monsters, you’ll need to find the footprints they’ve left behind, which are scattered all over the Crown Tundra region. Each time you find a set of footprints left by one of these three Pokemon, you’ll receive two percent of the data you need to ultimately track it down.

Since you only receive two percent of the necessary data for each set of footprints you find, this means you’ll need to find 50 sets of footprints for each of the three pocket monsters, or 150 footprints in total.

If you’re trying to find footprints left by the Cavern Pokemon, check out our video guide below! While there are more than 50 sets of Cavern Pokemon footprints available to discover in the Crown Tundra, our guide will show you a path to take to find 50 of them (once you find the last one you need, the rest disappear automatically).

Even if you use our guide, the process of traveling through the Crown Tundra to collect all of these footprints may still take you a while. That being the case, you may want to check out the ChargePlay Clutch from HyperX. It can extend your device’s battery life so you can play Pokemon Sword and Shield (and other Switch games) for a longer period of time before having to charge your Switch. Head over to HyperX’s website to learn more about the ChargePlay Clutch and the company’s other accessories.

Once you’ve found the 50 Cavern Pokemon footprints you need, check out our other guides to see where you can find 50 Iron Will Pokemon and Grassland Pokemon footprints!
