Mark your calendars!

The next Pokemon Go Community Day event will take place on June 10, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time.

During this event, Axew will appear more frequently than normal in the wild and players will have the chance to find Shiny Axew. Shiny Axew is tan, rather than green.

Axew is a Dragon-type Pokemon from the fifth generation of the Pokemon universe. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Axew into Fraxure using 25 Axew Candy and then evolve Fraxure into Haxorus using 100 Axew Candy.

When players evolve Fraxure into Haxorus during this event or during the five hours following it, Haxorus will learn the move Breaking Swipe.

A number of in-game bonuses will be active during this event:

  • Players will receive three times the normal number of experience points when catching Pokemon.
  • Players will receive two times the normal number of Pokemon Candy when catching Pokemon.
  • There will be twice the normal chance for players who have reached at least Level 31 in Pokemon Go to receive Candy XL when catching Pokemon.
  • Lure Modules will remain active for three hours when activated during this event.
  • Incense will remain active for three hours when activated during this event.
  • Players will be able to take Snapshots of Pokemon to receive extra encounters with Axew.

Two additional bonuses will be active from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. local time on June 10, 2023:

  • Players will be able to complete one extra Special Trade.
  • Trades will require 50 percent less Stardust to complete.

Players will be able to collect event-themed Stickers during this Community Day event by opening Gifts, spinning the Photo Disc at PokeStops, and purchasing them from the in-game store.

In addition, players will have the option to spend $1 on a ticket that will give them access to a Special Research storyline on Community Day called “Keeping Sharp.” Players will be able to purchase this ticket for themselves, and they’ll also have the option to purchase the ticket for their in-game friends.

Finally, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. local time on June 10, 2023, players will be able to battle Fraxure in Tier-4 Raid Battles. When players defeat Fraxure in one of these Raids, Axew will appear around the gym that hosted the Raid for 30 minutes. You can learn more about these Fraxure Raids on the Pokemon Go website.
