Here's everything you need to know about the final Ultra Unlock event in Pokemon Go!
Trainers, Unova Week is about to kick off in Pokemon Go!
Unova Week is the third and final Ultra Unlock event that players unlocked by completing the required number of global challenges during Pokemon Go Fest on July 25 and July 26.
This Unova Week event will run from August 14 at 1 p.m. PT until August 21 at 1 p.m. PT.
During this time, Sewaddle, Cottonee, and other Pokemon originally found in the Unova region of the Pokemon universe will appear more frequently than normal in the wild, and will also be available hatch from 7 km Eggs.
Plus, Roggenrola and other Unova Pokemon will be available to battle in Raids during this event, and there’s the chance you may encounter Shiny Roggenrola!
Elsewhere, the Mythical Pokemon Genesect will be available to challenge in Tier-5 Raids during Unova Week, and there’s the chance (though not the guarantee) that you may run into the Shiny version of this Pokemon when you successfully defeat it in battle. If you’re looking for the best Genesect counters, check out this guide shared by Pokemon Go Hub.
Finally, when Unova Week begins, Bouffalant will make its in-game debut, but Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, said it will be a geolocked Pokemon that’s only available to capture in “New York City, USA and the surrounding areas.” Players in that area will be able to find Bouffalant in the wild and hatch it from 5 km Eggs.
