Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto Special Research Tasks Guide

Trainers, the Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto event is finally here in Pokemon Go!

As part of this event, players who have purchased a ticket can complete a new series of Special Research tasks that reward them with a variety of fun in-game items, like Mewtwo Candy, an Egg Incubator, and even an encounter with Shiny Ditto!

While these Special Research tasks are associated with the one-day Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto event, you don’t have to complete them in a single day. On the Pokemon Go support website, Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, said players do not have a time limit for completing these Special Research tasks.

According to The Silph Road subreddit, here’s what these Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto Special Research tasks ask you to do, and the rewards you’ll receive for completing them.

Before we begin, please note that these Special Research tasks will vary slightly, depending on whether you chose the Red or Green version of the Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto ticket. According to The Silph Road subreddit, if you chose the Red ticket, you’ll receive a Charmander encounter and Charmander Candy as you complete these tasks. If you chose the Green ticket, all tasks and rewards related to Charmander in these tasks are replaced with Bulbasaur.

Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto Part 1

• Automatically Completed Task – 10 Poke Balls
• Automatically Completed Task – 3 Razz Berries
• Automatically Completed Task – 3 Potions

Final Rewards: 150 experience points, three Incense, and an encounter with Charmander

Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto Part 2

• Use an Incense – 50 Poke Balls
• Catch 30 Pokemon – An encounter with Tangela
• Take a Snapshot of Charmander – 1 Poffin

Final Rewards: 25 Charmander Candy, 50 Poke Balls, and an encounter with Chansey

Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto Part 3

• Earn 3 Hearts With Your Buddy – 300 Stardust
• Catch 30 Pokemon – 500 experience points
• Evolve a Charmander – 25 Charmander Candy

Final Rewards: 2 Incense, 25 Ultra Balls, and an encounter with Cubone

Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto Part 4

• Use an Incense – Egg Incubator
• Send 3 Gifts to Friends – 5 Pinap Berries
• Trade 3 Pokemon With a Friend – 25 Charmander Candy

Final Rewards: 500 Stardust, 25 Cubone Candy, and an encounter with Lickitung

Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto Part 5

• Make 3 Nice Throws in a Row – An encounter with Aerodactyl
• Catch 10 Different Species of Pokemon – 1 Star Piece
• Use 20 Berries to Help Catch Pokemon – 25 Charmander Candy

Final Rewards: 1 Premium Battle Bass, 25 Cubone Candy, and an encounter with Snorlax

Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto Part 6

• Make 3 Nice Throws in a Row – 25 Charmander Candy
• Battle in 3 Raids – 20 Mewtwo Candy
• Evolve 1 Pokemon – A red or green Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto avatar hat (depending on your ticket choice)

Final Rewards: 1 Fast TM, 1 Charged TM, and an encounter with Lapras

Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto Part 7

• Catch 30 Pokemon – 3,000 experience points
• Catch 15 Different Species of Pokemon – 3 Rare Candy
• Transfer 20 Pokemon – 3,000 experience points

Final Rewards: 1 Lure Module, 1 Lucky Egg, and an encounter with Shiny Ditto

Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto Part 8

• Automatically Completed Task – 3,000 experience points
• Automatically Completed Task – 3,000 Stardust
• Automatically Completed Task – 3,000 experience points

Final Rewards: 20 Ditto Candy, 20 Mew Candy, and 10 Ditto Stickers
